To Find Ways of the Korean-Australian Animation Co-production
Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) attended Screen Forever, premier conference of screen industry in Australia, to look for opportunities to collaborate with Korean animation productions and Australian companies. The 31st edition of Screen Forever was organized by Screen Producers Australia, and held in Melbourne for three days from November 15th. About 750 companies from all over the world participated in the event this year.
Eight Korean companies at this year’s Screen Forever included B.I. GROUP, Studio B Corp. and AR-Mode Communication as well as ICONIX, producer of Pororo and Tayo series. They had various business meetings such as one-on-one consultations and networking events between Korean-Australian companies. Cooperation plans were discussed from animation content export, co-production and attraction of investment to overseas expansion through further collaboration.
In addition, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) took part in Screen Forever and ran a promotional booth for international professionals such as filmmakers, drama producers and distributors. The booth introduced Korean industry in the market like major Hollywood films shot in Korea, filming supports for dramas and location promotion.
