PIETA Actor Returns to the Silver Screen

Actor LEE Jung-jin, who was cast in the award-winning film Pieta by KIM Ki-duk, has announced that he will be returning to the silver screen following a three-year break. The project he signed up for is Eun-ha (working title).

Eun-ha tells the story of a stateless woman who finds herself in confinement due to a murder case, and a prison officer who has his heart broken after losing his wife. The film hopes to show a tear jerking love story.

LEE plays the prison officer Seo-jun, who seems like a cold person but is warm at heart. While passing lonely days after his wife left him, he meets a woman who is also heartbroken. LIM Su-hyang was selected to take on the role of the woman in confinement. Eun-ha is a mysterious woman who is also a murder suspect.

Eun-ha is directed by LIM Jin-seung, who was the assistant director of Stray Dogs (2013). This is his second feature film as a director. Shooting will commence on May 15th, while the film’s release is scheduled for later this year.
