Network of Asian Fantastic Films Seeks New Genre Entries

The Network of Asian Fantastic Films (NAFF) is gearing up for its 8th edition, after opening submissions for It Project 2015.
Coinciding with the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BiFan), NAFF’s It Project is the first project market intended exclusively for genre films in the world. Submissions can be made online and will be accepted until May 4th, with the finalists to be announced on June 3rd.

It Project has been a fertile birthing ground for Asian genre films ever since its inception in 2008. Among the most successful films to take shape at the market over the years have been YEON Sang-ho’s The King of Pigs (2011), JEON Kyu-hwan’s The Weight (2012), KIM Byung-woo’s The Terror, LIVE, Arvin CHEN’s Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow and Gareth Evans’ The Raid 2: Berandal.

All feature length films in any stage of development, which have not been fully financed, are eligible for submission. Selected projects will have the chance to engage in meetings with investment companies and production companies, while also competing for cash awards and post-production support, such as the Bucheon Award (KRW 15 million) and the NAFF Award (KRW 10 million).

This year’s NAFF will take place from July 19th to the 22nd.
