The 14th Puchon International Student Animation Festival Begins
The 14th Puchon International Student Animation Festival (PISAF) drew its curtain on November 7th. The festival, held at the Korea Manhwa Museum in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, will continue its journey until November 11th. At the opening ceremony, Eric GOLDBERG (foreman of jury), Susan GOLDBERG (art director at Walt Disney), Marcel JEAN (director of the Annecy International Animation Festival), Yu Peixia (chairman of China Animation Association), KOIDE Masashi (head of the Japan Society for Animation Studies) and SON Gi-hwan (director of the Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festical, SICAF) were in attendance.
PISAF 2012 embarked on its official schedule with the Asian premier of the 3D version of Walt Disney’s Paperman as the opening film on November 7th and will screen a variety of 210 animations from 34 countries until it closes on November 11th.
