Cosmetics brand backs this year's fest as major sponsor
Global cosmetic brand Artistry has become this year’s Busan International Film Festival's (BIFF) ‘Diamond Premier’ sponsor. Artistry said that it decided to sponsor the film fest as the it felt that the brand philosophy, ‘All women of the world are works of art,' fit well with the idea of all women living their lives as if in a film. Artistry also stated that the Busan International Film Festival is a world-renowned film event which will help its brand become even more global. The Creative Director of Artistry, Olivier van Dorne, will design and create official trophies for BIFF to be used from this year forward, including those awarded in the New Currents and Flash Forward section, the Asian Filmmaker of the Year Award and the Achievement in Korean Cinema Award. Representing Artistry in Korea, Mr. PARK Se-joon said, “It’s a pleasure for Artistry to join the Busan International Film Festival, a truly global film festival," adding that, “Hollywood Actress Teresa Palmer, the official face of Artistry, will come to Korea to support Busan International Film Festival.” The 17th Busan International Film Festival will open on October 4th and continue until the 13th, screening some 300 films from 70 different countries around the world with over 10,000 guests from more than 60 nations.
