"Stars in the Ordinary Universe" is an omnibus movie about three people trying to realize the truth. First, we see the story of a high school girl who becomes confused after watching a YouTube video that says humans exist only to inherit superior genes. Next, we hear a homeless man's life-changing realization. Lastly, we see the passion of a man who believes he can only tell the truth. The three episodes end with a celebration of ordinary life. From evolutionary theory to theater of absurd, the black comedic flair summons the allegorical imagination.
