Support video themed "This Is All Independent Film" premieres on YouTube — 25 directors and actors from Indieground's 2025 Independent Film Library take part.

The Korean Film Council (KOFIC; Chairperson Han Sang-jun) established Indieground to improve the distribution and circulation environment for Korean independent art films. As part of its independent art film promotion project, Indieground released the "2026 Independent Art Film Support Video" on its official YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@indieground_kr).

Themed "This Is All Independent Film," the support video conveys, through the voices of directors and actors, the wide-ranging spectrum of independent art film — something no single definition can capture. Distinct keywords such as "Welcome Kids Zone," "Rainbow," "A Kind of Counseling," "The Unembellished Truth," and "Now Is the Season" each reflect the value and affection that creators have found in independent art film. Each individual remark intuitively conveys the freedom and varied appeal that independent art film holds, offering a fresh perspective even to audiences encountering independent art film for the first time.

The "2026 Independent Art Film Support Video" features directors and actors from titles selected for Indieground's 2025 Independent Film Library. Participants include director Kim So-yeon of In Our Day, director Hwang Seul-gi and actor Jang Sun of Red Nails, and director Kim Min-ha and actor Jeong Ha-dam of Idiot Girls and School Ghost: School Anniversary, among a total of 25 directors and actors. The video was directed by Baek Seung-hwa, director of Queen of Walking. Baek captured participants' natural expressions and distinct individual personalities on camera, rendering in a warm tone the appeal of independent art film, where differing perspectives coexist.

Indieground's independent art film support video series was conceived to introduce independent art film not as a single genre or image, but as a culture in which diverse stories and perspectives coexist. A new video is released every year, and last year's support video drew considerable interest and engagement on Indieground's official YouTube channel.

Chairperson Han Sang-jun said, "I hope this support video will be an opportunity for more audiences to encounter independent art film up close and connect with the stories of its varied works and creators." He added, "We will continue working to spread awareness of the value of independent art film."
