Chuncheon City is gaining popularity as a filming location due to tis proximity to the Seoul metropolitan area - which can be reached in under an hour - and its diverse cultural resources and natural landscapes such as the Soyang Dam and Uiamho Lake. * The Gangwon Creation Center
Constructed in 2009, the Gangwon Creation Center in Chuncheon was built to support ICT companies and content creators. It is famed for its distinctive boat-shaped building that appears to float on Uiamho Lake. The facility covers 14,367m2, spans four floors, and accommodates the Gangwon Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency as well as carious local ICT companies. Often chosen as a filming site for government and corporate offices, the building's fourth-floor rooftop park offers sweeping views of Uiamho Lake and Legoland, making it an ideal location for a range of productions.
* Animation Museum and Toy Robot Studio Animation Museum, the only one of its kind in South Korea, first opened its doors on October 1, 2003, and has since welcomed over 5 million visitors. Spanning 3,091m2, the museum shocased exhibits on the origins, evolution, and various forms of animation, along with production techniques, the development history of equipment, and the history of animation both in Korea and worldwide. In 2016, the Toy Robot Studio was introduced, covering 3,727m2 and providing a variety of robot experiences and toys for visitors to explore.
* Chuncheon Bridge
Chuncheon Bridge, a new landmark in the city, connects Geunhwa-dong and Jungdo Island In Jungdo-dong. The bridge stretches 1,058 meters in length and 25 meters in width, accommodating four lanes of traffic. At its center is a circular pylon, which is 45 meters in diameter and 55 meters high. The bridge also features a fountain and scenic lighting, which together create a captivating nighttime ambiance.
* Gubong Cafe Street
Gubongsan Cafe Street, located in Dong-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do, is a mountain with an altitude of 441 meters. Featuring nine peaks that extend from Hupyeong-dong to Mancheon-ri, it forms a mountain range bordering Dong-myeon, Gamjeong-ri, Janghak-ri, and Mancheon-ri. Its moderate height makes it ideal for light hiking, and its popularity has surged with the opening of numerous cafes that offer stunning views.
* Gongjicheon Sculpture Park
Situated in the urban heart of Chuncheon, Gonggicheon Stream is a cherished oasis of relaxation and culture for local residents. This area is encircled by a variety of attractions including a sculpture park, a fountain, a boathouse, waterfront spots, an outdoor performance stage, a children's hall, a war memorial, and a monument dedicated to Ethiopian soldiers who fought in the Korean War. The stream is equipped with boating facilities that enable visitors of all ages to enjoy time on the water—apart from during the winter months—and to savor the picturesque views along the banks of Jungdo Island and Uiamho Lake.
