Having been raised by his 'stepfather,' Kyung-ku falls into debt and ends up moving in with his 'biological father,' who is wealthy in assets. Kyung-ku's biological father is delighted that his eldest son has returned to carry on the family legacy, but he finds out that his blood-related son Kyung-ku is still using his stepfather's last name.
Kyung-ku's biological father tells Kyung-ku that he must change back his last name if he wants to inherit his assets. So Kyung-ku goes to change his last name... until he hears that his stepfather has passed away as an unclaimed dead. Unable to believe that his stepfather has died, Kyung-ku goes to confirm the body himself, but he finds out that his stepfather had applied for 'adoption dissolution' a few years ago. Now that Kyung-ku is no longer 'family,' he is not allowed to see his stepfather's dead body. His stepfather had been Kyung-ku's 'father' while he was alive, but with death, he has become a stranger. So in order to see his body, Kyung-ku goes looking for his stepfather's 'real family.'
