Oh Young-Min came to Western Germany from South Korea for his study but he was rejected to enter South Korea for his democracy movement career when he studied in Western Germany. So he became a refugee in here but he never give up his hope and is living together with his family. His daughters, Hye-won and Kyu-won is growing up and his wife, Shin Eun-sook is getting worse for her hepatitis. So his life is getting to be miserable. In his desperation days, he decided to go to North Korea. Eun-sook is afraid of his decision but she accepts her husband’s decision.

Young-min got the guarantee of his scholarship in North Korea but he was sucked in North Korea government’s propaganda. And he recognized that its government plans to use him as their spy that lures Korean to North Korea in Berlin. So he accepted their proposal for escaping from North Korea.
