In 1905 November 17th, the Korean Empire is forced by the Japanese government to sign the Eulsa Treaty, also known as the Japan-Korea protectorate treaty. Princess Deok-Hye, Gojong’s youngest daughter, she was forced to be kept hostage in Japan at the age of 12. She finally returned to Korea after 59 years, at the age of 77, diagnosed with multiple physiological disorders including severe case of Schizophrenia and somnambulism.
