The former South Korea undercover hided in North flees to South with his family in twenty years. His family quickly get used to life as ordinary South Koreans. One day, his peaceful live in South is gradually turned upside down when his dead wife starts to appear and haunts his memory.
Twenty-eight years ago Song Joong-ho trained in the South Special Forces received orders to help the high-ranking North Korean officer who seeks for exile with his wife and a baby to the South. Song Joong-ho began to watch carefully every movement of the officer and his wife. While Song Joong-ho was staking out the officer’s home, following the officer’s wife around and breaking into their house, he felt the odd mix of emotion towards the officer’s wife. Meanwhile the fellow spies opposed the mission with a high risk of failure as far as the safety of officer’s family is concerned. Song Joong-ho pushed to press ahead with his plan. On D-Day, the officer and his wife left on the road to the South, but the operation went wrong and resulting them arrested. Soon Song Joong-ho’s feeling of anger directed at the fellow spies and he made a terrible decision.
The secret past that Song Joong-ho never wants to reveal in front of his family is about to come out twenty-eight years later in the South.
