Su-hyun is 19 years old. After dropping out of school, he works at a host-bar to make money. His father disappeared after his business failed. After his mother’s death, Suhyun is hounded by creditors. Suhyun keeps these troubles away from his younger brother Sejin. But Sejin is also having a tumultuous time coping with the tragic nature of reality. The creditors continue to pressure Suhyun and to take all his profits. Finally an opportunity shows itself. Suhyun sells his body and soul for 24 hours to Jaehee, a frequent customer of the host-bar. Sejin is critically injured while trying to fight off the array of creditors. As a result of the injury, Sejin is permanently disabled. Suhyun eventually kills a creditor and goes off to a hill beside the sea where he throws his parents’ ashes away with his handicapped brother, Sejin. (* host-bar means where male prostitutes serve female customers.)
