Hwa-young hasn't had her period for several months but her doctor finds no physical or mental problem with her. A parcel from Japan is delivered to her containing a Japanese soldier's death notice and a picture of the soldier with a woman. The woman looks similar to Hwa-young. Surprised, she dumps the parcel. A few days later, the parcel shows up while she's reading in the library. She sees an apparition of the Japanese soldier. Then her period goes back to normal.
