So-jung, a freelance photographer, finds out that she has a critical condition that is slowly ruining her eyesight and threatening to eventually leave her blind. She decides not to go abroad to study with her boyfriend, Ji-suk. So-Jung returns home for her grandmother's funeral only to find her family involved in tense arguments. When a fortune-teller reveals that "he sees two trees in the family", they rush out to the tomb of their grandfather. Instead of bonding the family together, the reunion only seems to make matters worse. Disappointed and apathetic, So-Jung returns to Seoul. She discovers that her photo of a smiling Buddha is out of focus; her eyes have already started to deteriorate. So-Jung decides to learn how to fly an ultra-light plane. One day after her instructor leaves, she decides to fly solo. Feeling liberated from all of her troubles, she flies above the windy fields.
