Ah-jung is a housewife in her thirties with a five year-old son. She earns money by writing other people's autobiographies, and is currently working on the life of an insurance sales queen. With her husband on a business trip to Europe, Ah-jung's mother unexpectedly drops in for an extended visit. During her stay, she gives constant fits to Ah-jung. Her mother's habit of applying mayonnaise to her hair infuriates Ah-jung. For her, the mayonnaise seems to symbolize the vanity her mother has shown, even at her father's deathbed. Life becomes more difficult as the mother pesters her at every turn, acting more and more childish. One day, Ah-jung finds her mother collapsed on the bathroom floor after trying to put mayonnaise in her hair. This incident leads to an emotional outburst and the mother's decision to return home. As time passes, however, Ah-jung misses her mother's companionship, while finally realizing that she is just like her mother after all.
