H arrives in a place called "Haechun" where the past and the present coexist. Wandering through this world are various characters or spirits who represent the trials and tribulations of Korea's tortured past. In his search, he finds that Hell and Paradise live side by side. This pilgrimage serves as a metaphor for their history. The remembrance of the past is the certificate of one's existence.
