Young-nam and Jin-ho are best of friends who have a friendly rivalry going on over Bo-ra. Jin-ho is drafted in the combat police unit. But riot breaks out that day and Young-nam loses his sight while on duty for Jin-ho. Young-nam begs Jin-ho not to tell Bo-ra what happened and disappears. Jin-ho, although suffering from guilty conscience, nevertheless tells Bo-ra that Young-nam has left for Canada. Bo-ra becomes deeply hurt over Young-nam's departure but when Young-nam's poem to Bo-ra is released as a song, they are reunited. Although, Young-nam tries to hide his blindness from her, the truth is soon revealed and the three become inseparable as they once were.
