While they are annoyed by Communists Army during the war, her first daughter Jeong-Hee gets out of home resisting against her grand mother. When her youngest son Jeong-Ho can enter a college thanks to Jeong-Hee who appears after many years in 1960, In-Sun feels happiness for a while. But her happiness doesn't last long as her husband Chun-Bo brings home a barmaid Ok-Hwa. After her children go up to Seoul, one day Chun-Bo dies of heart disease.
