This is the story of a homeless wanderer in and around Manchuria. One day, a group of mounted thieves attack the ranch he is in. He defeats the mob together with Sam-man, the owner of the ranch, but Sam-man dies in the battle leaving his family behind. While he protects Sam-man's family from the thieves, he comes to like them.
