Created in 2003, the Daegu Women's Film Festival (DWFF) aims to discover and screen films, especially those related to women, fostering the spread of women's cinema in Daegu and further promoting gender equality values in the city. The festival is expected to showcase the potential of becoming a new political space that strengthens communication and solidarity among women. Moreover, as a women's film festival organized by the Institute of Women's Studies, it will contribute to creating and expanding the field of feminist cultural research in Daegu. It will also serve as a platform for contemplating how to refine, share, and concretely realize challenges and strategies in the formation of feminist public spheres.
